Defenestration, 2017
I have been recently interested in the way that data and networks have become globalised networks of data. The residency that this was produced in, has offered by the opportunity to look further into materiality and visuality in order to explore immateriality in my practice. Some unexpected aspects have also emerged – within the combined realm of audio alongside of this intervention into the natural world. What has emerged for him is a collective fascination with or vitalist energy imagined from our shared relationship to this mountain region west of Sydney, Australia. Part of this for me is a sense-diffused anxiety related to a foreboding of climate change. Then there is the human-mechinic aspects of technofunctionality interfacing with nature.
