Initiated to investigate the possibilities of collaborative art production.
As a group of 4 artists living in various parts of Australia we became interested in the nature of collaboration.
We have devised narrative that is based on an interchange of “drawings”. Each artist in the group sent
a scanned image to another member weekly. Each drawing informed the next drawing - resulting in a cycle of exchange between all members. After over 8 months of weekly exchange a narrative with a distinct thread has emerged – beyond the discreet works themselves.

As a group of 4 artists living in various parts of Australia we have been interested in the nature of
collaboration as a means of art production. This collaboration has taken the form of an online interaction
based on an ongoing interchange of “drawings”. Each artist in the group has sent a scanned image to
another member. This drawing then forms the basis for the next drawing for the following week. After more
than 12 months of weekly exchange a distinct narrative with each of the 4 threads has begun to emerge-
beyond the discreet works themselves. This collection of over 170 drawings then forms a singular, fluid
The intention was to present the work as a series that follows the wall of the space, installed as this work.
